Colour Rendering

Colour Rendering Index (CRI)

Colour rendering is the measurement of how true a colour appears when lit by an artificial light source. The measurement is a numerical rating of 0 (poor) to 100 (excellent). Inferior LED chips can provide a low CRI and still have a high lumen output, which is why it's necessary to consider both when determining lamp quality. Colour rendering is particularly important when it comes to interior design, retail, and food services as low CRI alters the way colours are perceived and can make decor, products, and food look unappealing.
